Fine Work Kenya Limited Project

Project Overview

In 2017, Fine Work Kenya Limited was contracted by Java House to deliver end-to-end supply, installation, and commissioning of Ansul R-102 Wet Chemical Fire Suppression Systems across multiple branch locations. The project upgraded life safety standards across the restaurant chain’s commercial kitchens, protecting staff, patrons, and operational assets.

The Challenge

High-volume commercial kitchens rely on open flames, deep fryers, and grease-laden extraction systems, creating high exposure to Class K fires. For a fast-paced chain like Java House, any fire incident poses severe safety risks, costly equipment damage, and business downtime.

The Solution

Fine Work Kenya Limited installed specialized Ansul R-102 Systems designed for heavy-duty food preparation areas, featuring:

  • Automatic Detection: Fast flame sensing to suppress fires before spreading.

  • Saponification Cooling: Discharges a wet chemical agent that turns hot grease into a cooling foam blanket to prevent reignition.

  • Rapid Cleanup: Targeted delivery limits mess, enabling fast operational recovery.

The Outcome

Fine Work Kenya Limited completed all installations on schedule, ensuring full international compliance and long-term operational safety across Java House’s network.
